Abby is a gorgeous chocolate long hair Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. Just 3 years old, and a mini at 12 pounds. She is up to date on all vaccinations, rabies, spayed, potty trained. A very mellow girl. Just loves snuggling with you on the sofa. Okay with other dogs as long as they're not alpha. Loves sleeping in the big bed, and being on your lap when you're at the computer. Needs a very quiet home. Best fit is a single person or couple. She's afraid of men. No children. Seems like she had a bad home before, because she cowers when you go to pet her. I'm sure she'll stop that once she knows she's in a safe and loving home. She had an appointment with the Ophthalmologist because she squints and her eyes run in the sunshine. Her tear ducts are very small, so the excess tears just come out her eyes. Not a big problem. Gracie is a beautiful combination of Chihuahua and Poodle. She's about 10 years old, and bonded with her brother, George....a gorgeous 7 year old red long hair purebred Dachshund. She's a very sweet and loving girl who still loves to play like a puppy, but definitely doesn't have excessive energy either. Very content to just lay around and be snuggled and pet all day. I can be a barker, but I'm just trying to protect my humans. I am a bit timid and defensive around new people at first, especially men, but she warms up quickly when someone is patient, gets down on my level and gives me pets. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the wonderful people who took her in are now themselves between homes and are unable to properly care for this lovely lady. Dear Potential Forever Family, Hi, I’m Harold… a 10-year-old chihuahua-mix looking for my life partner! Out of my many charming qualities, it is my laid back disposition and kind-hearted nature that best describes me. My morning routine has me getting up when my foster mum wakes which is easy since I get to snuggle in bed beside her (a must-have for my forever home). I go for a quick potty first thing in the morning, then have breakfast followed by a leisurely walk in the neighborhood with lots of sniffing, which are two of my favorite things to do!! From there, my foster mum and I head to the office for the day. I must confess, I am a model employee! I look forward to mingling with coworkers, getting my afternoon snack, then enjoying mid-morning and afternoon short walks in between our office work. My “work” involves curling up in a cozy bed next to the desk and sometimes even sharing the desk chair. I am a great listener and you can always bounce ideas off me! After having a lovely day at the office, we head home for dinner and another walk around the block. I think I already mentioned this, but I really do love my walks! My back legs can be a little wobbly at times but taking a daily Cosequin vitamin has been helping with that. I recently had a dental and am feeling great since having a tooth removed that was giving me problems. The pre-dental blood panel showed that my kidneys are in the early stages of kidney disease but I currently have no negative effects and am doing and feeling wonderful. The only thing missing from my life right now is a forever family. I long for a true companion and am the perfect partner who can go to the office, coffee dates, the park… you name it, I would love to be by your side and promise to pack in my signature lovey-dove eye gazing to boot! While I am a self-described cool dude laid back kind of pal, I am not going to be happy being left home alone for long periods. I am content with other animals but also ok being the only dog.
