Story
Blanca is a 5-month-old Great Dane mix with a heart as big as her paws. Rescued from a high-kill shelter on the day she was set to be euthanized, Blanca is now in foster care, settling into her new environment. She is a friendly, loving puppy who gets along well with other dogs. Blanca enjoys snuggling up with her humans and giving gentle puppy kisses. Blanca is looking for a forever home where she will receive lots of love and attention. A family that enjoys long walks and playtime in the yard would be perfect for her. She would also love to have a canine sibling to keep her company and show her the ropes. Blanca is a healthy girl who is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is currently working on her basic training in her foster home. If you are interested in adopting Blanca, please fill out an adoption application on the Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue website. Story
This guy…..volunteer favorite at the shelter. He was strong on the leash but manageable. The volunteers loved him so…..he was sent to be neutered. Within a few days, Halston was running a fever and his “region” was swollen, red and painful. The infection was running through his body and he needed to see a specialist ASAP. He was rushed to an ER and that’s where we found him. Thanks to the vets at ASEC, Halston survived. His poor “region” was filled with drains and he was loaded up on antibiotics and well…..here he is. Alive and handsome and ready for his new home. Halston needs some leash work but he’s a quick learner. He loves people and will do anything to make you happy. You just have to let him know that you are in control. And we have no idea who chopped off his ears. Absolutely loves people Doesn’t hold a grudge about his “region” being infected Seriously, this guy needs a break. Adopt Halston and give him a new start on life. And if you can’t adopt, please consider fostering

Story
FIONA NEEDS AN ADOPTER WITH A PRIVATE BACKYARD, WITHOUT YOUNG CHILDREN OR OTHER PETS AND PREFERABLY WHO IS EXPERIENCED WITH GREAT DANES/LARGE BREEDS. Meet super sweet Princess Fiona. She is an 8-year-old Great Dane. Her family moved out of state and now she is on The Rescue Train waiting for her fairytale ending. We are looking for a FURever home for this majestic creature. She's a young 8-year old, very strong and active. Her favorite activity is playing with her ball and chasing it around. She’s very kind and gentle, as well as a couch potato who just wants to be loved and give love. Fiona has limited vision, about 20-40%, and for that reason she can be protective of herself around new people and new animals. She needs a lot of verbal cues, but once she feels safe with you, she becomes a giant love bug...and we mean GIANT! --- If you are interested in adopting FIONA please fill out our foster/adoption application by clicking this LINK. Applications are required PRIOR to meeting one of our animals and are used to set up a safe and successful adoption. Please don't be shy and answer the questions thoroughly. To learn more about our entire process please visit www.therescuetrain.org and click on the "Adopt A Dog" page. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT OWN A FACILITY. Our animals are in private foster homes. Story
Baloo is a beautiful and PERFECT 5 year gentle giant, approx 90 lb, wonderful lab and great dane mix who was surrendered when his family were no longer able to care for him. The REAL Bark has placed him in a foster home and he has proven to be the best boy - gentle and loves dogs of all sizes, housetrained and bonds well with his people. He is a bit shy with new people and brand new environments, but quickly adapts once he knows everyone around him are safe havens, and always gravitates to every nice dog he sees. Because of his gentle giant size and his shyness, which sometimes transpires into nervousness, his perfect home would be one that has a great secure yard where he can romp and exercise without the regular need to walk him in around busy streets. He is very chill in the home, enjoys his people and loves being loved and wants to please. Baloo is a super big sweetheart, a perfect dog, and is ready to melt your heart!! Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.
