Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Hazel, an adorable 8-month-old Chihuahua mix brimming with puppy energy and sweetness. Weighing in at 12.5 pounds, Hazel loves both people and dogs, making her a perfect companion for a lively household. Hazel's playful nature shines through in her favorite activities. She loves playing with the other puppy in her foster home, chasing after balls (though she's still learning to bring them back), and chewing on her favorite bone. Her curious spirit leads her to explore new objects, people, and places with enthusiasm. While Hazel is still mastering her training commands, she is working diligently on house training and has made significant progress with only a few accidents. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night, only making noise when she needs to go out. Hazel is not a fan of loud noises like vacuums and hair dryers, and she’s still adjusting to baths. She has typical puppy behaviors such as nipping and chewing on shoes, and she’s working on improving her leash manners. Hazel enjoys cuddling and is a loyal, sweet-tempered pup with plenty of playful energy. She would thrive in a home with adults, a fenced yard for her to play in, and ideally, another similar-sized dog to keep her company. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate addition to your family, Hazel could be the perfect match!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 3, 2024, 1:02 pm

Story
Welcome Carmelo to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Carmelo is a Norfolk/Cairn Terrier mix is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds and this boy understands mostly Spanish and is learning English. Carmelo is 2 years old and has the shortest legs and the least outgoing of the two. These boys love each other and would love to be adopted together. If they adopt out separately, we do think they will be ok. Carmelo is lower shedding and lower dander due to his breed. He cannot walk on a leash yet but with patience we think he can learn. We will be working on that while he is here at the rescue. His brother already knows how to walk on a leash. Simba has lived with an older couple. They had some very unfortunate circumstances and now they are looking for a new home. CCPAL is happy to help them find their forever home. If we could find an owner that speaks some Spanish, that would be great. They are both learning English so they should be fine with some patience. An older couple or an older single person wanting a nice companion would be the best pick. Carmelo is very quiet and lower energy so he wouldn’t be hard to care for other than being really shy. He is good in a crate and not too much of a barker. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted out locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 12 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 5 months old. He is 50% Border Collie and the other is Terrier. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger personality. He is the most dominant of the 3 boys. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. We think Bear has less of the Border Collie personality and more of the dad’s personality who was a Terrier. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older.
