Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Livvie is a very sweet coonhound. She is a typical nose to the ground hound that likes to sniff everything. She is good with other dogs but is not good with cats. She would do better with older children. Livvie loves to cuddle and, you guessed it, use her hound voice. Livvie would not do well in an apartment due to her loud hound voice that she likes to use when she is left alone.
Livvie was an owner surrender because she needed an expensive surgery to fix her leg. We gladly took her, had her luxating patella and ACL surgery done and now she's ready for a new home. Now Livvie does have 4-6wks left of recovery where she is on STRICT exercise restrictions. She can only go outside on a leash to potty then come right back in. She is not allowed to jump on and off of furniture or use a flight of stairs. She also cannot have a bath for another 4 weeks and her incision needs to remain dry. Failure to abide by the exercise restrictions could result in improper healing or re-tearing of the new ligaments. Her recovery is very important but once her recovery is over she will be able to romp and play like a normal dog.
Still interested in adopting sweet Livvie?
Livvie has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $155 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)
