My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was so ITCHY! I started licking my fur right off!

The lady who found me thought it was fleas, but the people here said it's an allergy. I don't know what an "allergy" is, but I wish it would stop making me itch!

They sent out a test to find out what kind of allergy. I can tell you what kind - it's the itchy kind! Sheesh.

But they've been taking good care of me and the itch is so much better! They said that I'm "healing up very nicely"! Of course. I do everything nicely! I'm a nice cat!

My allergy test isn't back yet, though. Boo. I asked if I had to wait some MORE to get a home and they said no, that I could go to a new home and they'd send my new people the test results - yay!

But there's another thing. I have FIV. Which means that I may need to see the vet more often for stuff like teeth cleanings and whatnot. No biggie though because I get along with other cats just fine! Although... I DO like to be the center of attention...

I mean, look at me! I'm fluffy, I'm cuddly, I like to talk, I'm playful and outgoing! Obviously I SHOULD be the center of attention!

So if you know of anyone who needs a cat like me - nearly perfect (except for the allergy stuff and the FIV thing), super friendly, really playful, and loves to be the center of attention - can you please send them my way? Tell them to ask for Teddy - that's me!

Thank you!

(Teddy is 1 year old, neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and FIV positive. He does get along with other cats, but prefers to be the center of attention because he's so pretty. Please note that while all cats need slow and gradual introductions, it's especially important that FIV cats have time to acclimate to other cats in the home. FIV is not spread through sharing food or water dishes or through play or grooming. It is spread through deep bite wounds (as in serious cat fights). FIV is strictly a cat thing - neither people nor dogs can get it. Additional info in the comments.

Teddy's adoption fee is only $25 thanks to our F.I.V. to H.O.M.E.S special pricing! Please note that Teddy is in a community cat room with other cats and is doing very well!)
