Gatsby is a male Cockapoo mix approximately 1 1/2 years old. He is a solid, sturdy boy weighing 18 pounds full grown. Gatsby has a very soft creamy golden coat that is curly/wavy and non-shedding. Unfortunately, its hard to imagine what he looks like since he was rescued from a neglectful situation and his long coat had to be completely shaved upon arrival to our organization. His gorgeous coat was matted so badly that he could barely walk. He was just one big solid mat of tangled, dirty fur. Poor Gatsby had probably never been groomed in his entire life. Luckily his coat will grow out in a short amount of time and he will truly be a head turner. He should have a cream colored body with darker gold and tan coloring on his ears and a dusting of gold highlighting the rest his body when his coat grows out. Gatsby has a true desire to be with people and wants to keep you company when you are home. He will follow you through the house from room to room and will lay down next to you if you are working in the office, or snuggle beside you on the couch or in bed. He enjoys the company of other dogs and will play with toys or romp around in the backyard when the mood strikes him. He is easy to manage and eager to please his people. Gatsby is submissive with people and tries hard to do the right thing. He is a soft-hearted dog and will thrive in a stable home that gives him steady love. He will return the favor ten fold since he is such an affectionate big baby boy. He especially likes to give sweet kisses. Gatsby would do fine as an only dog or perhaps with another mellow canine friend in the home. He walks well on leash and rides quietly in the car. He has a nice amount of energy for longer walks or trips to the park or beach. Mostly Gatsby is focused on his people and should make a lovely pet and companion. He is very healthy and ready for his new forever home today!
Gatsby’s adoption donation is $475 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Gatsby is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for his forever home.
