Skittles's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Skittles's Story...
Skittles was born approx May 2013. She is small weighing 12 lbs, is sweet, affectionate and gets along with dogs in her home. She would probably prefer to be an only dog. She is shy and needs to get comfortable with you but once she is, she loves to be with you. She is independent and is low maintenance. No small kids. She is a momma we rescued from the shelter with her 4 2 1/2 week old puppies, Tootsie, Razzle, Taffy, and Snickers.

Stop by and meet our pets on SATURDAYS or if you are not able, email to arrange a convenient time to meet the pet. Adoption events are Saturday from 11 am to 3pm at R and R Pet Lifestyle and Supply at 2780 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley (SE corner of Tapo Canyon and Alamo), except holiday weekends. Please email (staff@arvsimi.org) ahead to make sure a particular pet will be at adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skittles, a Simi Valley Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
