About Our Shelter...

Our mission is to provide a safe haven for animals in need, to promote adoptions, to reunite lost animals with their owners and to humanely reduce pet overpopulation through community education and aggressive spay/neuter programs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Humane Society operates the Animal Shelter currently located at 465 Cloman Blvd. in West Pagosa Springs. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Sundays and Holidays, 10am to 4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

When you adopt from the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs, you receive a healthy, loving companion that has had all preliminary inoculations except rabies, is spayed or neutered, has a tag, collar and microchip for ID and is eligible for a free checkup with a local veterinarian. We endeavor to have all animals receive a rabies vaccination. In Colorado, rabies must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.

Adoption Fees
The fee for adoptions is $90 for dogs, $110 for puppies (under 6 months), $45 for cats, $60 for kittens (under 6 months). When you adopt from the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs, you will get a healthy, loving companion that has received its preliminary inoculations, is spayed or neutered, has a tag and microchip for ID and is eligible for a free veterinarian checkup. The adoption fee is a great value.
